On the Victrola-- Glenn Miller's "String of Pearls"......

The Photo Gallery.....

(This page is graphic intensive (naturally) -- Please wait while it loads... It's worth it!!!)

Gene Shannahan's 1976 Bellanca "Citabria"....

Sixteen more full scale Citabria pix....

I had been working on a 20% scale model of this plane for quite a while now...

It's finally done.  Flight tests show it to be a "keeper".  Powered by an O.S. .91 fourstroke engine, it is a thing of beauty in th air.  Hare's a couple of shots of it....

I think it looks pretty good.  Gene has sold the fullscale, but it's not far away; I hope to get some pix of the two ships side by side soon....

My since-sold G/P Mustang 40; ST .61, Robart retracts, Bob Hoover colors...

This is my since sold one-off "ChipStik". It's what happens when you take an Ugly Stick (actually it's a Model-Tech "Joss Stik) and try to make it look like a Chipmunk. It has Super Chipmunk tailfeathers. Powered by a S/T.90 Scoophead, this 9.5# model does it all, and lands like a trainer. The "ChipStik" was featured in the opening sequence of the HTV show ,"Louisiana Sportsman", doing a snaproll on takeoff..

With a little help from Steve Durecki at Fiberglass Specialties and a leftover set of Goldberg "Super Chipmunk" decals we set out to have some fun. Those brass exhaust tubes are functional, coming off a Slimline sport scale muffler (?)... Some kinda LOUD, but it really sounded great with the Scoophead ST .90 "rapping off" as it came over the threshold...
No other two-stroke sounds quite like a "Super Tigger" on short final.

Pilot is "Power Ranger Jason" stolen from one of the grandkids.. Cut-down Sig bubble canopy sits betwixt the wings.
Art Scholl "Super Chipmunk" scheme on top & 8" red & blue letters under wings loudly proclaim "CHIPSTIK", as on the cowl. Tailfeathers checkerboarded red, white & blue on the bottom. She looked great going straight up with her belly to the crowd!!

I brought it to a fly-in and somebody said, "Whatin'ell IZZAT?? I told him I started to build a Chipmunk, and someone swiped the fuselage outta the shop, so I just UltraCoted the box and put the decals on it........

WHY DO WE ALWAYS SELL THE GOOD ONES??
...sure wish I had this'un back.

Richard Guidroz' scratch-built F-18. Richard is a master of the art.....  As we all do sometimes, Richard sold this plane, after many great flights....  It just hangs from a ceiling now.  We call planes like that,"Hangar Queens"....

Another of Richard's projects, this one's a Royal "Pitts"....

Now this is a Pitts!! Replicating Darryl Christian's full scale, here's my flybuddy,
Billy Trosclair and his pristine scratchbuilt 33% Dively "Pitts S2-A"....
G-62 & Futaba...

Graphics by "you-know-hoo"... You gotta see this thing up close and personal...

Like this!!!!.... Waaaait a minnit.. This might be Daryl's FS.... Smoke tank in front cockpit..

Richard Guidroz's latest, an OV-10 "Bronco" scratched from Rich Uravitch plans & plastic.. Twin O.S. .25 FPs... Futaba guidance... My graphics... This baby will perform!!

From Tom Moore comes this good lookin' Bearcat; graphics by moi.

SCOOP!! First look!!
Rich Uravitch just sent me this shot of his new "Top Gun" entry... I wrote him back and told him it looks great, but I think it's gonna need more power...

In the words of the master hisself, "It's BIG! 94" span, weighs 38 lbs. ready to fly. Sachs 5.2, 24 x 14 prop, Robart retracts, Futaba 8 channel. From Ziroli plans with fiberglass fuselage. Sliding canopy, full scale cockpit, external tank drop, yata, yata, yata.."

(I aint sure, but I guess the "yata, yata, yata" part is Rich trying to sound like those eight "fiftys" in the wings.... Hate to tell him that's not really how thay sound... I've watched a lotta John Wayne movies and they always go, "Ka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-taka-CLICK..click..Dammit...")

Three weeks later.... "Oh wowwww...."

Is this baby lookin' good or what???

Check out Rich Uravitch's new website...

The discontinued Ace R/C "Blue Max".... This is one fun airplane....
52" swept wing.. No dihedral.. OS .46FX... Very wide speed envelope...

My 1/4 scale Pilot "Tiger Moth" - OPS 1.20 fourstroke - Futaba Super Seven.
Richard Guidroz built it.... I rebuilt it....(long story...) It's now making shadows in sunny Pensacola, FL...

Daughter-in-law Dawn doing pre-flight on Enya .15 powered Sig "Wonder"...
Micro servos, Rx, & 270 mah battery - 1# 15oz. wet... Hot,hot, hot!!!

The plane... Not Dawn......

One of the best $50.00 kits on the market - Balsa USA's "Stingray 40"... Great aerobatic trainer!!

My new Great Planes "Extra 300S"... O.S. .70 Surpass.... Don Harris Pitts muffler..
A really nice flyer!!  Sorry to report it self-destructed due to a wing spar failure. Kudos to Great Planes, tho... They replaced the kit & MonoKote; even repaired a bent pushrod on the engine. All at no charge, of cos'........

A closeup of the Extra's nose....  As you can see, it was a looker...

A trip on the wild side.... Cierva C.4 Autogyro built by flybuddy Jerry Sigur
from Steve Tillson plans.... O.S LA.40 power.

Martha, my loving wife, wants to fly now, so I "built" this "EasyFly 40" for her!!  Sad to say RCO is all but defunct now. I sure miss what it used to be... We recommend RCUniverse.com in it's stead.

The "SM" in the N-number stands for "SuperMom"!!!!

I cut most of the CUSTOM LETTERING seen on many of these models myself. If they interest you, click this link....
